Life in a Jar

This is the story of Prometheus giving the divine light to humanity (thus introducing us to philosophy), and subsequently being punished for it. A modern take on classic Greek mythology and the story of Prometheus and Pandora’s Jar. This story sheds light on the true meaning of this ancient story.
Truth and Evil

A German soldier during WW2 is killed in battle after committing a heinous crime. Upon his death he finds himself standing before God and being repeatedly sent back to earth to relieve the moment, and (hopefully) come to learn the nature of truth and the value of human life.
The Safe Society

This dark comedic satire is the story of Anthony and Nancy, a married couple in the year 2085 who are in the process of recording a “welcome” video for their incoming child. They describe the modern world in 2085, give a brief history lesson, and explain how society came to be free of all personal risk (and free of many other things too.)

The Return Flight

“Why must I insist on learning all things the hard way? How much time and discomfort would I save if I could simply heed the wisdom and warnings of all those who came before me?
For thousands of years, humanity has been learning and articulating the art of living well. And yet, I constantly insist on living my life like the plot of all tragedies: a hero laid low by his own fatal flaws.”

Synopsis:
After losing their grandfather, two brothers set out on a mission to Northern Wisconsin to try to fish for, and catch, a giant Musky on a Native American reservation.
However, they do not realize that the Musky they are determined to catch is not a simple fish, and the small town on the reservation is no ordinary town.
This is the story of men confronting what they do not understand, and the paradox of focus: to see one thing in great detail means to make everything else blurry and unclear.
Genres: philosophic fiction, mystery, suspense, surrealism.
